Cronies is a small family business that makes children's clothing. It all started in 2015 with the birth of their son, Oliver, when her husband had the great idea to give her a sewing machine for Christmas, even though she had never sat behind one before. Once she started, she sewed every evening, gaining experience until they launched the e-shop www.cronies.cz and later expanded into Slovakia. She didn't hesitate and bought her husband a camera so their photos would look professional, too. Together, they are living their dream, going from zero experience to a professional level, which they maintain while constantly coming up with new designs and clever features for children's clothing. They launched and run their e-shop on the Shoptetplatform, which allows them to take advantage of smart financing and external capital from Lemonero.
The summer months (May–August) are quieter for us; we don't get as many orders, so it's the perfect time to prepare and sew new products for autumn, which is a really busy time for us. The loan allows us to order and finance our own prints—new fabric designs—so we can handle our autumn preparations calmly during the slower summer period.
